I was invited by N26 to create tiny illustrations for empty states and their newest In-app feature: Information Cards. These cards pop up on top of your in-app transaction list and are shown on many different occasions: They give important updates about your account, teaser new features or simply celebrate your  birthday. 

As banking in general sometimes can feel a bit dry and bland, I wanted to bring some fun and color into these to connect pure information with moments of delight. 

My main focus here was to make the user always feel in charge of their own account. That's why I chose human hands as main component in the illustrations. I combined these hands with hand-drawn textures to represent a friendly down-to-earth feel and vibrant colors matching the existing N26 color palette.

The Project included designing 40+ illustrations to be used in their mobile app, webapp and their newsletter.
